Move

I am now officially back in Butte. I’m slowly working on cleaning up this place and un-packing. And this is me procrastinating it. Well, off to work again.

Websites

I’m working on a few different websites. One, for my sister, is complete now and I think looks great. There is some small design flaws on IE 6, but honestly, update your browser. I doesn’t make the page unreadable and would take me many hours to fix. My sister is ok with the way it is now.

The other site I’m working on is for my cousins skateboard company. It’s coming along nicely.

Wedding Accomplished

Well, now that the bachelors party and wedding is all over, I’m exhausted. During the caving experience, I beat myself up quite a bit, mostly scrapes and bruises but I’m fairly positive I’ll be loosing one of my thumbnails because I squashed it between two rocks. Now I get to plan when I move back to Butte and gear up for school.

Upcoming Days

Well, in the next week or so, I have a bachellors party to attend, a wedding to be a grooms man and dj, and tie up some loose ends here in Billings before I head up to Butte for the winter.

On a compleatly unrelated note, I’m diggin the movie Four Rooms. I haven’t seen it for quite a while and it’s on showtime :)

Linux Dangers

It's too late for me.

It's too late for me.

MTNW Gentoo

I finally got gentoo installed and working on the MTNW server. I had a problem with the networking card and instead of compiling the kernel like I wanted to, I did the genkernel route. The only problem I had there was the correct module for my nic wasn’t added at boot so I got to figure out how to get that loaded.

Hiking

Well, we went up for a hike and did glacier lake. It was quite the hike. the actual distance was around 3 miles, but the elevation gain was insane. I didn’t remember to take my camera, but the view was pretty fenominal.

Butte, Here I Come

Well, I’m about to head out to Butte. This should be a fun weekend, just kickin it and experiencing Knievel Days.

Gentoo

Well, I finally did it, I finally hand installed gentoo and got X working. I also put Sabayon on my laptop and I am very pleased with it as well. I’d have to say, I’m going with gentoo for my next server for sure.

Virtualbox

I just found VirtualBox. It’s an easy install and seems to work great. I dare say it works better than VMWare. The only downside, is it doesn’t have bridged networking, but it seems like you can directly use a nic on the host system wich is pretty cool.
